    Late or unattended returns.

    National typically grants a 29 minute grace for daily rentals. If the vehicle is brought back within 2 ½ hours after the rental time on a subsequent day, you will be liable to hourly charges. If the car is returned more than 2 ½ hours later, you'll be billed an extra day's rental charge.

    If a customer returns a vehicle after a branch's closing time, they are responsible for the vehicle until it is checked in on the following business day.

    Can I leave my car at another National car rental facility?

    National car rental provides an easy way to rent a car on a one way basis. This means you can rent from one location and bring it back to another without any hassle. A one time fee may be added on to the rental, which will be noted when booking online. This must be paid upon collection.

    Fuel, damage, feedback and complaints.

    There are 3 National fuel options available: Prepaid fuel permits the renter to pay for a full tank of gas at the time of rental. No reimbursements are available for any unutilised fuel. Alternatively renters can make payment to National for the gasoline used without needing to replace it. Note that prices per gallon will be higher than those found locally. The third option is you refill the vehicle with a full tank of gas before returning it to the National facility.

    You will be liable for any damage sustained to the vehicle while it is within your possession.
